Resources:

CBC students may receive a generic username and password which allows access to the Library's online databases from outside the CBC campus computer network. Passwords are changed quarterly, posted in Angel in the "Library Research" section (see detailed instructions), and sent to currently registered students with an activated student email account.

Search Statements - EBSCOhost & ProQuest:

  • Truncation: educ* (beginning with this) = educate, educator, education, etc.
  • Or Statements: educ* or teach* = any of these, broadens
  • And Statements: educ* and washington = all of these, narrows
  • Phrases: higher education = only this, very narrow
  • Grouping: (educ* or teach*) and washington = do the part in parentheses first – or use ‘Advanced Search’ and put different concepts on different lines

Limiters:
CBC Title Collection, Full Text, Peer-Reviewed (Scholarly)
